Location of fuel filler flap lock motor

Before i start pulling the wrong parts off, can anyone tell me how to access the fuel filler flap lock motor/solenoid? I'm guessing I get to it behind the wheel arch liner, but not sure. I've tried WD40, but it's not shifting, so I need to replace it I think, before the local pikeys realise I'm an easy fuel supply Laughing

Discoeast, did you ever find out where Fuel Flap Lock Solenoid is, the cable for mine has become disconnected was rattling around in the back, and I'm not sure where the solenoid is, or should be.

If you take the cover off the jack stowage (RHS of load area) and look in there towards the wheel arch (with a torch) you can just see the solenoid.

Thanks guys, and thanks wiggs for the diagram Bow down
I have worked out what has happened, The cable has become detached from the fuel filler housing. Will get it sorted tonight.

Has anyone ever tried a teflon spray called TriFlow, available through Brammer, ex BSL?

It is a first class penetrating lubricant and put a great coating on the likes of exposed bearings, control cables etc. We used to use it on a long circuit racing kart and then again on the racing bikes we had in the British Championships.
