Lock KVM
Looking for some advice/guidance.
Took ownemrship of a 2016 D4 a little over a month ago with only one key.
Tried to programme a new key fob with the GAP IID tool but encountered an error code.
The tech guys at GAP let me know that the KVM is locked.
Are the generic vechicle locksmiths that can programme keys able to overcome this or is it the main dealer KVM and key replacement route the only one available?

I had a new key for my 2014 that needed programming and Lock Doctor (in Ireland) were able to do it for less than €100 (that was a little over 2 years ago). I am sure there are other compatible companies over there

To be honest, I don't know. They did their magic and I paid them!
