cut mine twice myself to 'finger length' all over with beard trimmer and it was OK I'd say. SWMBO did it once and was able to trim the 'edges' more neatly but did mutter a few "oh f*ck"s whilst using the unguarded trimmer.......

Had mine cut at local barber last week and it felt good to have a decent, 'proper', hair cut. Gave them £20 tip as just pleased they've survived and are back Thumbs Up

I remember being fascinated by the concept of the Robocut shown on Tomorrow's World several decades ago.

They've beefed it up now though. Wink

SWMBO has been doing mine for decades, saved an absolute fortune!!

Mind you, sitting on a garden chair in a sunny room doesn’t beat this surreal experience from Vietnam last year. And she’s never had to blow dry my noggin first as I was sweating like an absolute porker, well it was 38c outside.

And a cracking result. Thumbs Up

Americans cut into squares and burn any stars and stripe flags that are sullied by touching the ground, however briefly. The mind boggles as to what they'd think about one being used as a barber's cape (and in Vietnam). Shocked

Yeah, how odd. I would have thought that would be one of the last places to see the stars and stripes!

Seems the right place to me. After all, Vietnam won so using the defeated enemy's flag in such a base way is a good "up yours" to the Yanks. Rolling with laughter

Cut my own hair for years, No.2 in the summer and No.4 in the winter. No garbage talk, no fancy products.

USA lost the battle but won the (consumerism, capitalism, ...) war Thumbs Up

Vietnam is very non-commie and entrepreneurial nowadays.

Most peeps in Vietnam weren’t even born before the war ended, the war is pretty much ancient history to most peeps as there are very, very few signs of it. Fantastic place, have spent 4 months in the last 18 months travelling the length of it, twice, and would thoroughly recommend going there. Hopefully that will be possible in the future. There could have been a bit of painful interaction with hair straighteners. Whistle Whistle
