It is not a mega amount, meant in a light hearted way, raised awareness for huge charitable effort that benefits a very needy cause, one that helps folks regardless of what side of any border they may be from, gave some restbit to the currently overflowing S type threads for some and frankly i think a really ballsy, interactive and smart solution from DG that I totally and utterly applaud

Cheers Colin, now that you've highlighted it can I just say that DG's inititiative, coupled with the generosity of the members of this forum means that we have got to the £1000 mark
There is still a few weeks to go until the donations site closes,so plenty of time to add to it,but for the moment,on behalf of myself,Brian and Lee can I just pass on a massive thanks.....
Now let's see what we can get the total up to "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Before noticing the threads locked posts caused by DG's initiative, to my shame i had absolutely no knowledge of the charitable endevours being made for H4H on the Hadrians wall walk.
Regardless of DG's initative, i see this as a worthy cause that i have just donated £50 to on that basis alone.
But of course have for some time seen all the endless YES / NO scottish indepence threads and posts.
If i was donating on a YES / NO basis as to unlock all the S based threads (YES) or leave them locked forever (NO) I would feel much better making my donation on a NO basis.
Just food for thought

What I want to know is how did you come up with the figure of £115? What was the significance?
At the time it was to get the total to £500 ..very nice of those that did that and also those that have taken it further.
Please remember that aside from making a bit of a fuss on here with my keyboard to help things along.... this should in no way overshadow the fact that it is those that did the gruelling 20 miles who deserve the full credit for this fundraising effort 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
