Can't find the lacking wheel nut socket for one of the works disco 4. Is it a main dealer call?

There's a place for it in the moulded polystyrene for the scissor Jack. Not been put there has it?

Most dealers have a full set in the workshop, so should be able to determine which it is, then you can order a replacement.

I was hoping to avoid a trip to the main dealers, I'd prefer to order over the phone, but I expect that they won't play ball wth that plan due to security compromises

Trebro, whereabouts in Hampshire are you?

Can you post details of the socket A, B, C etc.., maybe one of us in Hampshire can lend you one.

In my experience many tyre fitters have a full set & will remove for you.

Advice - scrap them all & replace with normal nuts - easily available from:-

£2.71 less discount.

Local main dealer charge was 0.5hr labour to bring out their master set - ie about £90. Instead I took some photos and worked out which letter code it was (there are, from memory, 24 variants). Then someone on the forum kindly sent me theirs (as most have ditched them as NJSS says).

As soon as I had the key I removed the lockers and replaced with normal nuts.

Whereabouts in Hampshire are you please?

Who are you using for glow-plugs in Botley; it would be interesting to hear of your experiences in this respect.

Regards

Nigel

Trebro,
Just noticed you've got a D4 and mine's a D3. Don't know if the locking wheel nuts are the same. If they are I've now got the car back so if I can help....

Should be the same. Though the D4 was supposed to be a “new” car, I doubt the locking wheel nut owe one of the 25% needed to call it “new”. Whistle
