I don't make a habit of fiddling with things like forum login. I would say something if I did make a change and get feedback.

I have not touched anything so this must be another of those iOS issues (AGAIN) that web site operators get blamed for Rolling Eyes

Privacy mode can be detected by the dark grey bars top and bottom of the safari browser. This was the cause of a lot of complaints about the inline uploader, even though I stated it did not work in privacy mode.

Seems a lot of devices run Safari in privacy mode without that being the intention. To switch it off have a web search for "iOS privacy mode off" Smile

Been ok for the last day or two but for a week or so previously my main laptop, although set to remain logged in, would prompt me to login, then after logging in would give the error that I couldn't search so soon after a previous search then, if I tried for new posts, would then time out. Just assumed some site jiggery pokery was going on.

Thank God.....I thought it was just me having a senior moment....had recently updated iOS settings on my iPad and it kicks me out every single time....I've gone through all the settings and can't stop it happening either!

Site is pretty much unusable for me now. Either site is unreachable but when do get to site have to log in each time. to then get unreachable. Possibly an MS Edge issue as using IE, as I am now, allows me to write this.

I can assure you that the site is online so you should not be getting "unreachable" errors from your browser Sad

What is your ISP (broadband provider)?

To turn private browsing mode off in Safari tap the 2 small squares in the top right hand corner and then tap private browsing mode off or on as you wish and then tap done. It works.

Possible DNS issue? Are you using the default DNS server provided by your ISP?

BT with their DNS and child protection is on.
This is the only site that gets that error, but am on my old Win7 laptop now without issue. New one with Win10 and edge has the issue. Sad

This cured my issue, seems an upgrade on the IPad OS system turns private browsing on by default.
