Long range fuel tanks available in SA at long last
I've been meaning to post this for a while, but wanted to hang on till I saw the product with my own eyes.
Front Runner have designed a long range tank for the D3. It is a very tidy piece of engineering if you ask me. Complete with a bash-plate, makes it look very neat.
It adds about 100 litres capacity. Fuel is pumped to the main tank from the spare tank, ie. its not a gravity-feed. These pics are from another vehicle, I get mine next week, and will post more detail.
I am not affiliated with Front Runner, and will not enjoy any financial benefit if you buy their products. I do, however, like to tell everyone about their great products and even better service.
Pictures re-linked 7/5/07

Shouldn't be long till Frogs have them, but I don't suppose you would need more than 80litres in Europe?

Hate to think what the price will be like once their accountants have been at the markup-juice...
TBH, they're not really necassary in Western Europe, 'nice-to-have' in North Africa and pretty much essential elswhere

According to Wayne:
"The tank will retail for R 3695.00 and the protector plate will retail for R 1595.00. "
Looks like agreat deal to me. Not sure if that price includes the pump and installation but speak to Wayne/Bobby.
Bear in mind production units are not yet available but will hopefully be soon - check with FR

949BFN - the spare wheel can either be carried on the roof-rack, or on the rear-mounted wheel carrier that will also (hopefully) be available this month in prototype. I will be trialling this kit up to Angola next month, so will keep you posted
