How long to refit a torque converter gearbox & transfer box
Hi there,
I took my car to a supposed gearbox specialist to take out, rebuild and refit my gearbox on a disco4 2010., They told me it would be in for 10 days, they have failed to deliver on 6 agreed dates and have had the car for 42 days
Last week they assured me it would be ready for today, the gearbox was in and it just needed testing.
I went to see and they have not fitted anything.
Tomorrow I will go back and my expectation is that they can refit everything in a day. Does this sound like it can be done?
I have this expectation because the guy promised on Friday, Clearly he hadnt done anything and I expect he was going to do it on Monday morning. He was off though so nothing has been done, he is just constantly giving me excuses and now he has started on complete lies!

I'd be concerned about their ability to do the job right now.
If they throw the box back in under pressure, they might not do it properly.Richard

Generally, it's a days work to remove and refit the gearbox, barring anything unforseen
