I recieved the phone call yesterday.
'Your car has arrived in the country and you can expect delivery before ANZAC Day".
The order was placed on Jan 2nd 07, I kept telling myself that if it comes before christmas that will be good, but now the days have suddenly started to drag.
I feel a permagrin comming on 
Oh, its a TDV6 SE white, rear diff, rear air, roof rails, cooler box. With A bar, ladder, with some others goodies to come.
I'll stop looking at the calender.

ANZAC day is April 25th.
(Australia and New Zealand Army Corps) our Rememberance day.

Mine must be on the same boat. I've been told it arrives 16th April. How long do you think it takes to get from docking to my garage. Hopefully by the end of that week. I can't wait my current car is falling to bits, rego and insurance is due but at least I've got it until the newbie comes.
I'm a little worried (intimidated) about the size of car change (from compact real 4wd not awd) I'm already having nightmares I'll crash on the way home or it'll get scratched getting it into the garage

There is a well defined mental condition that describes this horror.
I remember in a quiet moment looking at our new born children and imangining all sorts of horrible things that could happen. A certain, let us say health care professional pointed out to friend of mine this is pefectly normal way of rationalising the depth of love, read potenial loss or pain the relationship we have with the in this case (car) has with us.
Playing out the scenario allows us to dump out the trash and see the true reality. In other words we are OK.

Do what I did and get down to the dealer before it is prepped for delivery so you can see your baby still with its platic covers over everything.
By the way, you might think the D3 is big but it is so easy to drive and park you will think you are in a small car. The high driving postion and squared corners give you very good indicators when parking.
Enjoy the new babies when you get them.

Well it seems a few of us have ours arriving soon. I was also told that mine docks in Sydney on the 16th. And yes....... the days are getting slower and slooower and slooooooower ....

Is yours a stornoway grey with satnav. My dealer tells me they are waiting for 2 that were delayed mine and one with satnav.

My TDV6 SE with active diff and adaptive lights in Atacama sand has been on order from 5/1/07 and am also expecting mid April arrival in Oz and delivery end of April.
So keep a look out for it you blokes!
