Im going to take a guess and say the lights are LED and there is strong sun and they are not seeimg the warning .
LED lights need a review they are not as good as good old fashioned bulbs and coloured plastic in bright sunlight

Ive noticed the very same thing with led torches I use at work, dogs whatsits at night, not so good during daylight.

But not invisible. I tend to give more than a second glance when there's a risk of meeting a hundred tons with a limited stopping distance. Also LED lights don't affect the audible warning tone.

All driving too fast to stop when the warning lights started.
