I dont think I would get the job as I am a white middle class, over 60 male, so wouldnt meet any of the PC criteria

None of that stops you turning up in a dress of a rainbow design and stating you identify as an avocado. Not only would you be eligible for selection as a candidate, you'd get as many shows on the BBC as you want.
