Loose spare wheel

I got flagged down at the traffic lights today by the chap in the car behind, he said my spare wheel was going round, I was only a mile from work so I waited till I got there and checked and the spare wheel was a bit loose, it took a couple of turns to tighten it back up, has anyone else had the spare come loose?

Not had it come loose... can't see how it could - unless it wasn't seated properly in the carrier.

Have you just had a service ? or maybe its been loose since new ?

Mine was very slightly loose when I had it and it needed a few turns on the dial to tighten up.

It was definately tight when I got the car as I had a good look round to see if it had been used, it was only about two turns to lock it back up tight, I will just keep an eye on it.

Have you checked the pressure in the tyre? it pulls up against the stops on the tyre, if it goes flat, it will come loose.

Just a thought.
