Loss of Power Then Goes in to Limp Home Mode

Disco 3 Fuel Filter Problems.

When putting your foot down, you loose power, then all the dash lights come on with the sounds too, which lowers the suspension and goes in to limp home mode, to cure this replace the fuel filter.

Land Rover replaces the fuel filter on the second service, (30,000 miles) however there have been problems, mine happened at 17,500 miles.

Also if you find filings in the filter then you really need to get to the dealership FAST, as this would be the fuel injectors, (I think) which are starting to or have disintegrated, when this happens, you will loose your fuel.

If your D3 is in warranty then it is fixed free of charge, (call them out).

When limp home mode happens, you can switch off your engine and re start it, all is okay, but is you put your foot down to hard then it will happen again, just keep switching off the engine and re start it, but take it nice a easy.

As you know these D3 are set up to use only the correct fuel and not bio fuels, so don't use Bio it can void your warranty.

Marginal turbo can cause this too - mine used to do this before they replaced it
