Hi there,
20 minutes from home yesterday I heard a noise in the engine, a bit like a muted trying to put it into gear with the clutch not depressed. A few minutes later I came to overtake on the downhill and had lost power. Then going back uphill lots of smoke coming from the rear. Looked pretty dark but I think there was also whiter smoke too.Clear loss of power and smoke came whenever gears were dropped or going uphill. Once on crest of hills and going back down smoke stopped.
Got home , no further engine noises, no fault messages.
EGR valves were blanked off about 6 weeks ago.
Anybody any idea what the problem is and how safe would it be to drive it to a garage?
Many thanks.

Could be a split turb/intercooler hose. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
