Would love to, however, working 6 days a week doesn't give time for shows etc..

Quick question for out lucky G4 owning members.
Do the G4s all have roof mounted spot lights?
If so, how are they wired up to the car and how do you activate them.
I'll assume they are not road legal so used only for off road use.
Looking to get an expo rack this summer and fit lights to the roof to off road night time visibility for an upcoming competition, so curious how LR did it in the first place. In loving memory of FA54WSK.

All the 08's had them. Operated by a switch on the dash via a relay from the headlight circuit. I'm sure one of the more knowledgeable owners will be along to answer other model years.

My 06 has the spots on the nudge bar come on with full beam and the roof lights operate with a switch on dash but only when full beam is on and go off when full beam is cancelledG4 D3 4.4 V8, "tigger" all year round toy

Does the power wires come up from the rear of the car and go up to the rack.
Would like to wire them up so they can come on regardless of if i'm using main beam or not.
How bright are the ones you have fitted? In loving memory of FA54WSK.

Would also like to know what others have done regarding roof lights. Fitted my rack a couple of weeks ago with some LF170's on.
Was thinking of mounting some switches similar to this.
Probably switch them independently of main beam. Lights on grill are wired through the main beam with a switch by the headlight switch.

Mine make it like daylight! Especially good down a tree lined lane.
Not that I'd use them on the highway

The wiring comes up the sides of the windscreen. Beautifully neat job where they've chased it under the rubber channels at the top corners of the windscreen.
They are xenons and so all of the electronic modules are mounted on the underside of the aluminium plate on the roof rack. These are out of sight and hidden behind the roof rails....
Great job and super super powerful.... The previous owner called them troll lights and that name has definately stuck with us!
