When i drive my D3 i think this is the best car i have ever owned.
It is brilliant to drive and tow with and is fantastic off road, and it is so pretty
it could have been designed by Pinnafarina.
When i saw it I had to have one.
That's the love part.
Now it"s out of factory warranty and the problems are not ending.
It now has oil leak around the turbo and a power steering leak coming
from radiator area and i suspect the steering column is stuffed again.
I don't understand, in this day and age, how a vehicle can be so "fragile".
My car has been in some harsh 4x4 places but it has never been thrashed
or ill treated at any time.
That's the hate part.
Pray you vehicle continually breaks down under warranty, because it
will have multiple issues soner or later.
Below is a list of problems i've had and they keep coming.
Front scuttle replaced
Front diff replaced
Rear diff replaced
Upper steering column replaced
Lower steering column replaced
Turbo replaced
Transmission removed and repaired
Left and right lower control arms replaced
Battery replaced
New airbag wiring kit
Airbag cover replaced
Front decals replaced
Steering wheel replaced
Fuel filler release mechanism replaced
New brake pads @ 40K
Hand brake adjusted twice
Complete front left lower control arm replaced
Complete front right lower control arm replaced
New left inner tie rod
New right inner tie rod.
And now the rattle is back in the front end again.
I emailed Land Rover asking for assistance to fix the clunk in the gearbox
(that has been there from 12 months old) that they misdiagnosed as a front diff.
and they told me "hard luck it"s 10 months out of warranty"
And you wonder why i whinge about it.
I was a and LR nut, now i have no trouble telling people the what a pile of c p
the D3 is. Pete

Luxury. We used to have to get out of the lake at six o'clock in the morning, clean the lake, eat a handful of 'ot gravel, work twenty hour day at mill for tuppence a month, come home, and Dad would thrash us to sleep with a broken bottle, if we were lucky!
And you try and tell the young people of today that ..... they won't believe you Club Pie n Pea
