Low battery warning

this morning went out to car and the battery was flat. multimeter on it and it read 10.6v it has been parked up since sunday. jump started it and did 49 miles. the car has started no problem all day. came home again another 49 miles parked up. got back in 5 mins later and dash was showing low battery warning. checked the battery and it was at 12.5v the garage I was at tested the battery and said it was ok. however since then the low battery has been coming on each time I go to start.
Is this the battery or something else,

Have found that when a battery gets discharged for whatever reason, (doors left open, lights, playing radio etc) it seems to confuse the BMS system as to what state of charge the battery has.

Would try a hard reset, can do no harm or cost anything, details in Wiki before buying a new battery or checking alternator:thumbsup:

After a phone call with Bodsy (thankyou for the time) I decided to replace the battery as I have a 3am start to the airport and couldn't risk it. after all it is the original battery so 6 years old so fingers crossed the problem might be solved, only the morning will tell

Not all new batteries come fully charged, I would have a battery charger on as long as possible in the meantime or have your old battery with you and jump leads ready just in case for an important journey Thumbs Up

Could it be the BMS only charges up to arounf half full? After a five hour drive the IID tool showed SOC 51% and a 1Amp load current. When the batery was one down do 25% the charge was 20Amp Shocked

Go to live values. You will find it among others under Body Control Module BCM.
If you check while the engine is running you will find the charging current under vehicle battery current.
If you have a SOC well over 50% then please post the charging current Thumbs Up
