Low beam in multi-storey = crack on roof aerial..

Well, I've had it almost a month.. Sad

D4, 2015

Into a multi storey, access height selected - and I somehow managed to pick the only parking bay with a low concrete beam running the back of it. Which I never spotted...

Looks like the bodywork sailed under but the front/engine side of the aerial cover has been half-pushed off. Will run crying to nearest dealer tmrw, but in meantime, anyone know if it's a risk of filling car with water, and perhaps maybe if it should just click straight back in? I don't want to force it, but no tools or even easy access to get to it where I am right now...

Thanks

i'm guessing that your location means it wasn't the Lowry Centre in Salford ... there's a section there where the cable trays are about 6" lower than the stated clearance height. had to unscrew SWMBO's aerial to get her out.

edit: i mean SWNBO's CAR and CAR AERIEL. obviously.

It's at Grand Harbour apartments in Edinburgh. Here for one night only so will go to the nearest dealer tmrw. It's a howler out there tonight so I stuck it back in the garage. Carefully this time...

Think it's just separated the halves, so perhaps it can be slackened off and put back properly?

Thought that is what the drop down tail gate is for! Whistle
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Also the rear bumper... which seemed strong enough to hold me, anyway.. but yeah, I should have used the tailgate (I didn't think of that.. Embarassed ). Anyway, had a good look, typical LR, they use weird bolts for it. Should have a new one in place by the end of the week.

Also, will write "watch the roof, dumbass" on the steering wheel in white paint.
