Lower arms(Vibration under braking)

On the road to cure my braking vibration, it thought i'd look at the arms. There is quite a lot of movement in the arms when you turn the steering wheel, not sure if its meant to be like that.

Can you be a bit more specific on the movement?

I'd say that's acceptable movement considering the car is stopped. They might be a little soft but that's to be expected over time. If they were failing to any significant degree, its usually manifests itself with excessive tyre wear or knocking especially under braking.

If you have vibration under braking its often down to a sticking caliper which causes hot spots on the disc, eventually warping it leading to the vibration.

at 28 seconds and 38 seconds the black on the metal that looks like shadow is where the bush has been rubbing on the metal while driving, cleaning in effect the mount lol.

Brakes were fine until I fitted new disc/pad have done around 2k miles and now vibrating, changed disc/pads again to pagid and still have the same vibration but not quite as bad.

After more work and tests this weekend the hub seemed to have few high spots, the run out meter showed 8 tenths of a millimeter before, down to 2 tenths after.

Also fitted new lower arms but a bolt broke when refitting and only got the replacement today.

And fitted new rear disk's and pads, no run out showing on them.

Will report back over next week or two with any change.

Turned out to be front wheels, previous owner must of had wheels refurbished and that left paint on the back of the wheel, which when bolted up to the hub on a large wheel throws them out of balance.

Flatted this down and refitted wheels, appears to have cured the vibration.
