Hi Everyone
Just wanted to ask if anybody has had any problems with the lower control arms on the disco 3 I was getting movement in the front wheels when i but the brakes the wheels would move back about 25mm when the car came to a stop. A mechanic had alook and said the lower inner bushes were worn the car had only done 21000k
I took it back to land rover and thy changed the complete assembley on the right hand side and the bush on the other side but I still get a bit of movement is this normal? also had the door seals replaced as they had split
Thanks for any help land rover dont want to know about it now
Cheers

Not to sure about the movement - but FWIW my front bushes are going to be changed at the next service as they are also stuffed - This after only 45000 km and not much serious offroading

Had a bush repalced at the front, not sure which one, I'll find out tomorrow. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I have a sneaking suspicion there is a revised part now I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

If there is it should be available under warranty for free or as a service part. Mechanical change over the years as better manufacturing and design processes improve
Also customer feedback from real world use helps improve many products, inc LR's.

I had all the bushes replaced under warranty at 6k miles (4.5k done by LR on the challenge and promotional stuff) and then the lower suspension replaced on both sides (lower control and wishbones) at about 12k miles, all unders warranty, and now with 'better' parts. Done 15oo miles on the new set up, and no movement or knocking (fingers crossed). Craig

Just had my front lower control arms replaced by dealer, do I need to have an alignment done? Dealer says no.
Thanks! 16 D4 Landmark

My D3 (54 at 75k)is at an indy as we speak having the front lower doodads changed as the tie rod ends, ball joints, bushes and a bearing are all FUUBAR!!
Also trying to get to the bottom of the suspension warning light. Compressor A1 so they think its a software problem.
Whisper it but i think LR havent settled their Siemens bill so the software update hasnt been released.
Great!
Do you think the judge will be lenient when I rob a bank just to keep this on the road..........................?
Sorry your honour but you see i bought a D3 new build second hand and.......... All things shipping, storage, transport. UK and worldwide.

Dealer says that they "marked the geometry prior to installation" and therefor no alignment is necessary. Can this be right? Thank you! 16 D4 Landmark

I changed mine last weekend and did a wheel alignment.
If he was able to put everything back exactly where i came from
it would be ok. Keep an eye on the tyres for uneven wear. Pete
