Lower suspension arm

Does anyone know what would cause a sub 25k miles discovery 4 to need the osf lower suspension arm replaced? Whistle just had this pointed out to me by my dealer who says who ever fitted it put the steering wheel back a quarter of a turn out of position and corrected it by adjusting the track rods as far to one side as they could.

Accident damage is what is begining to worry me, I bought the car private 3 months ago, had the checks done for write off HP etc. when I asked the seller if he had had any accidents or repairs done he told me the only thing done was a bearing or bush (can't remember what) on the osf. I asked him how he discovered this, he told me being in the motor trade (he buys and sells prestige cars, 1 million +) he could hear it and it was done under warranty.
If the damage was bad enough to warrant a new suspension arm do you think other evidence would have been visible. Big Cry

Shouldn't fail that soon, claim under warranty. If it has been replaced before they may have tightened up the bolts with the suspension still dropped on the ramp. The bush can tear and leak silicone.

When a new bush is fitted, does the lower suspension arm get replaced as well.
ie, is it all one part?

Can be either; depends on relative cost of the parts and the effort of changing the bushes.

If it was done under warranty it will be on LR records, take it to your nearest main dealer for a health check and they will give you full history details of it. They usually do this free Thumbs Up
To late to anything about it now unless it was sold in a dangerous condition.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

All sorted now, it was a warranty repair due to a knocking torn bush, they changed the arm and the bush. I was getting worried it had been in an accident.
