Just posted some pics to my gallery from the LR Driving Experience located on the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. The weekend there was great. I enjoyed the 6hour + lesson (both the Mrs. and I took a turn at the wheel). This was only my 2nd "formal" lesson and I learned a lot.
I would recommend all new owners (that are interested in off road) attend such a course. I'm even more convinced that we purchased the right vehicles. I'm amazed at just how balanced the Disco3/LR3 really is - in almost all situations
I would like to see how other vehicles could handle the course. I'm sure they would be fine 2007 LR3 HSE - Zermatt Silver

that's pretty funny because I was up there this year doing the tourist thing (I've lived in NC for 10 years and never been until this summer). After our day doing walking tours, we wanted to check out the "Inn" and on the way out saw a little dirt road that just called to me (we happened to also be on a trip in the LR3) ......having seen the "experience" group dying in the sun over by the winery, I figured we had a good 30 minutes to play on the trails. After an hour we felt like renegade high school kids trying to escape before getting caught --- shame on us. It was a cool course though and had some stuff I didn't get into simply due to the potential time involved.
As I recall, you can;t take your own vehicle out there but instead have to use the ones they have. Kind of crappy in my opinion unless you just keep your own for doodling around on the highways.
I'm sure it was fun anyway though. 96 Disco I, 210,000 miles - still going strong

LOL! Subtle reminder?
We're signed up for the LR school at Montebello Quebec at the end of May. I'll do a write-up...promise.
