LR Experience at Coniston Hall |
|
Hi all,
Just completed a half day freebie LR Experience at Coniston Hall, near Skipton, after entering the competition on the LR website. The D4, wow! What an amazing piece of kit both on the road and off. Me and the wife had a great time, three hours with a very experienced off road driver, we defiantly drove up hill and down dale, then back across it sideways, well recommended.
Stayed overnight at the Coniston Hall Hotel, great service and a very nice place, ask for a first floor room overlooking the lake.
Spent the morning flying birds of prey, Barn owl, Eagle owl and a Harris hawk at a centre also on site, and had a very interesting talk and introduction to many other birds of prey.
Also on site trout fishing, clay shooting and a couple of good walks around the estate grounds.
All in all a grand day out! Disco IV
SII Truck Cab
Disco II TD5. Gone
Disco II. Gone
Defender 90 Gone
LW 3.5 V8 Long Gone!

Had the free half day experience a week or so ago - got upgraded to a half-day off road when i said I did not want the on-road. Sharing with one other who had paid £275 for the half day!
Awesome stuff and nice to get back to some solid mechanical stuff after all of the wizardry of the D3.

Good my 'free' half day booked for next weekend (17th July)... From all reports of Coniston its one of the best sites and great instructors.
Really looking forward to it now... off road newbie
