LR OEM Dog Guard/Cargo Barrier & OEM Dog Cage

Now fitted Confused , after the little exploits of Frodo & SWMBO with the monthly shopping I decided this was the way to go. SWMBO knew not to put Frodo in the cabin, or the shopping on the leather, so ALL went into the boot. 15min journey home and most of the food was in Frodo Evil or Very Mad

Luckily, no ill effects, apart from being off his food for a few days. That will teach him Laughing

Anyway, all fitted now. Its a bit tricky to fit together and minor adjustments needed with the thumb screws to get that perfect fit. I made it more tricky as I opted to keep the load mat in place, but a few cuts in the mat still leaves the carpet protected.

Like the neat idea of the door comes with a lock, so on a mild day you can open the top door and the dog is secure/cool and the D3 cannot be accessed past the guard. Thumbs Up

Being a 7 seater, I still need to consider protecting the seat belt in the cage, I will think about that one.

I wrapped an old towel around my seatbelt and zip-tied the towel on. No problems so far. Best solution would be a section of poly pipe with a slot cut down it, ping it around the belt and job's a goodun
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Thats actually a NEAT idea Alan, I was thinking along the lines of the seatbelt shoulder pads, 4 sewn in a line so to speak.

Taz, the fitting kit comes with extra bracketry so you can have the cage either side Thumbs Up

I reckon it would take a dog about 5 minutes to eat a seat belt shoulder pad.
