| LR4 2010 NAV, streets on map are VERY faint |

Comparing the NAV to my Garmin 1490T, the streets are very faint gray lines and only major highways are visible. Is that normal or doI just like my Garmin? The voice gives very broad navigation instructions, turn right in 1/2 mile and does not name streets.

Not only are they faint, there are no tts voices naming streets, no night time dimming options and if you take a wrong turn be prepared to wait awhile until madam decides to come back on to correct the route, watch Billy Connolly dvd London Live 2010. He sums it up.
The update price is very expensive compared to other map makers
I am in Australia and have just purchased a new RR Sport and find the navigation system to be of the poorest quality I have yet experienced in a vehicle. I spoke to a gentleman at Denzos who make the software for Land Rover, he informed me that they only install the software that the manufacturer tells them to so Land Rover should be ashamed of themselves for fitting this piece of crap in to such an expensive vehicle.
Rise up Land Rover owners and let them know just what we think, I have written to both Australia and U.K. landrover, don't expect to hear back in a hurry.

I completely agree. Sat nav is the worst feature. Too faint, too complicated. A TomTom is far better. Paul

Just zoom in more and put in 3d mode to give you a bit more distance on screen.
