so, both fuses swapped out for new ones just in case, new battery fitted but alas - it's still not working Big Cry

How do I find the part number of the head unit without having to take it out, and is it normally the head unit that fails, or the screen itself?

Even more frustrating as I'd planned to swap out the head unit for a tesla type screen, but I don't want to shell out on that until I confirm everything else is 100% working (and I'll want to transfer it over when I change car so need the old system to put back in)

It's a 2011 registration year but I think it's a 2010 manufacture year.

Hi, did you get the radio sorted? what was the issue? My 2010 D4 commercial radio works for a few seconds when I switch it on, but then sound stops and never comes back on...thanks.

Not yet matey. I’m in Holland until next weekend so I’ll hopefully be resolving it then, or at least narrowing it down to exactly which bit is knackered and ordering new to me replacement parts Laughing

Sadly not.

I’ve put a MOST loop on the Bluetooth module 1st, the DAB module 2nd, then lastly on the AMP. I’m baffled now🤦‍♂️

I have the same issue, posted a few months back, no real responses other than to try another head unit.

I checked on my Sons Autel diagnostic and it came up with no communication with the audio system. But since then it has come back on on two occasions which causes me to think it is a power issue either in the supply or on the main board in the unit it's self. I can't shed any more light on it at the moment but it's really frustrating that it will come on randomly. Once when I gave it some beans to overtake a pedal cyclist and another time when the wife was out in it and on a street with speed humps. So I'm leaning towards a dry joint maybe somewhere or a Censored connection.

Ultimately need to know if the unit is a plug and play one as I don't want to buy another if if needs coding if there is anywhere that specialise in giving these units once over?

Big Cry

I've got a garage looking at it this week, I'll post if they solve it. I'm guessing a replacement unit costs a fortune?

Denmark 2012 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux Auto Unknown ColourDiscovery 4

How did it go ?

I have a D4 HSE Lux, Logic7 (2012), where all radio, CD, bluetooth and navi funktions are dead. It startede with static noise, even when the car was turned off. With in a few weeks all stop to work.

It is quite expensive to get it fixed i Denmark - the garage what to replace all units... Shocked

Hi, my garage found the problem. It was the amplifier located in the boot. Apparently they connect some things now with fibre optics, so he had to borrow a prism to locate the faulty device. He couldn't get the amp fixed, so he found a used one as they are apparently over a grand new from the stealers!

Display come back, as have the front & rear sensors.

So - it finally turned out to be the cd changer unit that was kaput!
Now that everything is working again, time to take it all out and swap it for an android tesla type unit Laughing
