LRE West Country - Exmoor Trec Day - 13-03-16 (pic heavy)
Great day spent on the Coombe Sydenham estate on Exmoor with the guys from LRE West Country and a couple from the rrsport.co.uk forum (Buckster and RRSTDV8).
Fantastic weather throughout the day and all very nicely muddy by the end of it.
My view of the day was obscured by an Amorak/Amarok/Anorak (whatever!) but it did most things that I could. Also mightily impressed with the performance of the Evoke.

Think the guy in photo 16 is planning nicking the car! has a very shifty look about him.
Ha ha, he is shifty and can't drive for toffee. I only stood there to cover up the damage I did to the car on the previous day Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! Excellent pics, Chris. The weather couldn't have been better for it and it made the views and colours through the woods stunning towards the end of the day.

Let's make this clear, no damage occurred on the day of the trec. It was a well thought out route by LRE West Country and I take my hat off to them for putting on such a great day.Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! It was a fun day out. Nice to meet a couple of forum members too.
I would say that there are a couple of new scratches down the side of my RRS but, should I be the sort that worries about such things, they look to be light enough to be simply hand polished out.
Other than the light scratches, it is a non-damaging day. Indeed the tracks don't present anything too challenging for a Disco/RRS. The Evoque in the group did need a little instruction but I think that was more driver inexperience than vehicle inability. A rainy day might have made for some more challenges on stoney climbs/descents; having said that, the Disco/RRS is extremely capable and would have been fine.
It was nice to see a couple of new RRS2 out with us. They were on road tyres and, except for the odd shimmy in muddy corners, they were unfazed by the route. No excuses for anyone else then!
I took some video on my phone but it is basically a view of a RRS2 Autobiography's bum in the countryside Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
