The mantec winch plate seems to be excluded from BRS's distribution rights.
Very little work is required to fit the winch plate, says Karl (BRS). I am happy to do it down here in CT. Otherwise I will panic and hand over to someone who professes to have the adequate skills!

Andrew I got LR to fit mine because I wasn't sure how much work it would be . Looking at it after the fact I could have easily done it myself

Do you know how the two plates differ re fitment.
Maybe, the cutting of plastic from the front bumper with the winch plate is due to the design -- to carry the winch??
I could ask LRCT to do mine, if they would oblige.
The ventilation thing should not be a problem as LR UK allows LRE to run the non-winch plate. (Unmodified?)
Andrew, after looking at the mud in Botswana and the black cotton soil in Khaudum, a winch is certainly an option, despite my earlier reservations.

No idea . I think you may be right and I will have to cut my bumper if I install a winch . I went and had a look and currently my bumper hasn't had any mods done to it .

The more I think about it the more certain I am that the bumper only gets cut for the winch plate . If that's the case then the fitting of the skidplate is dead easy .

Sorry to dissappoint you - the bumper gets cut regardless, otherwise the strengthening ribs of the plate won't fit.
have a very close look. you can see the rib on the inside of the fold, and where the plastic (blue) was cut to accomodate it
By the way, this butcher job was not done by Tino. This is the job the panelbeaters did

Thanks, for this chin job, we will then have cut the lady to make her pretty.

you need the AT2's so you don't get stuck in the mud
you need the snorkel so you don't ingest dust or water
you need the front plate so you don't smack your intercooler or radiator on the rocks
and.......
you need the dual battery so that once you have battled the mud, dust, water and rocks you can sit and enjoy the scenery with an ice-cold beer in your hand!
But most of all you need the stuff so that you can have a bit of fun playing with your new toy and gadgets

why we need more,

1. I did pop the plastic front on a wet dune and hammered the LR plate into a bowl, so that one is going OK (and I am waiting for price);
2. The Dual Battery in the front is a done deal (Q: BRS, yes); I will probably sell the the NL battery dual system I have) my lady (not parole officer (aka PO) in this instance) wants more space due to the NL battery taking up too much room on top of her Bushwakka kitchen drawers (too bulky, but handy).
3. After exiting "slightly" sideways from a deep crossing in Linyanti, the AT2's and snorkel are on order...
4. Now what's angle for selling the turbochip to the PO?

Better fuel economy - hence it pays for itself (after about 150 000 km) - but she doesn't need to know that part . And boys rule number one . (He who dies with the most toys wins)

The angle on "chipping"/TorqTune or performance upgrades is being able to pass slower traffic up steep hills whilst towing the 4x4 trailer that's next on your list
For Mrs. Baben, who is the daily driver of the D3, it means racing everything from every light.......and winning most of the time.
I quizzed her why the fuel economy was 13l/100 when she drives the car and 11 for me. She just said that the enjoyment of kicking everyone's a$$es was worth the extra cost in fuel.
After having her drive me around town last week, I am seriously considering upgrading the brakes too.
