Had a nice bit of carbon fibre work in the garage over the weekend as my D3 was commandered for its transport.
Got me thinking though. This was a box beam about 8 feet long and 6 inches square. Very similar to a LR chassis member. However it weighed less than 20 kg and i could pick it up easily.
Nice authentic Carbon Fibre finish on it as well . Impressive bit was in testing it was capable of sustaining 27 tonnes load before failing.
....not sure how much it was worth though
Still the production of such things is pretty automated these days and if you made enough of them.......... end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

You do realise that now you have posted that, Matt is going to have to re-chassis his car AGAIN I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
