Manual reset of service indicater |
|
Hi All
I.ve tried to reset my service indicator but it defaults back to the mileage and trip. This, according to the manual reset instructions means that the CCF is not set to accept manual reset.
Question how do I change the CCF setting or is this a dealer function only using their computer.
Thanks Roger 47

Hi Roger,
I have not found a way of resetting these without using IDS (dealer equipment) or similar.

so how come my US LR3 doesn't even have the auto service indication?
Do they switch it off completely in some markets? 08 LR3 SE V8 - 02 D2 SE7 V8

I demand a refund!
I notice that my warranty insists that I have the oil changed within about 1500 miles of the service spec, or else.....
But it's clearly up to me to remember when that is!

Hi,
I am fairly certain IDS cannot enable a manual reset feature, as it doesn't seem on the list of options.
TFC might know if autologic have found a way.

There's no manual reset option - Autologic or IDS
TBH, why would there be? the whole point is to ensure that the vehicle is serviced by a dealer or independent with the right equipment to diagnose any issues with the vehicle

I've got the service indicator. It comes on briefly at startup only when it's getting close to service time. I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Haha! Well, I think the first thing I might teach them is to actually reset the indicator, since they forgot to at the last service. Maybe they're trying to confuse me I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

sideview - that's odd, I got to my service mileage and saw no indication at start-up - I actually went looking for it and didn't see anything.
Does it say SERVICE DUE or something? 08 LR3 SE V8 - 02 D2 SE7 V8
