How many miles out your brakes?
Hi all
How many miles did you get out your brakes?
Due to the weight, I'm assuming not too many?
Be good to know too if most miles is towing etc.
Thanks

On my D3 auto...
At 25,000 miles - pads replaced all round
At 50,000 miles - pads and discs replaced all roundSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
On my D3 manual, little towing, driven fairly hard, plenty of anticipation so I'm not heavy on brakes:-
First set of disks & pads all round - 28,130 miles- fronts were needed, rears precautionary
Second set of front pads & disks @ 61,826 miles - plenty of life left in rears now @ 74k miles

Brake wear also depends on how you drive.
I use a route into Aberdeen (South Deeside) which has a lot of bends and is quite narrow. I often follow drivers who seem to need to brake at every corner whereas I do the whole trip at 60mph without needing any braking at all and nobody gets thrown about.
These folks will get through brakes a tad quicker I'd think!
Some drivers are/were taught that whenever you come off the gas pedal you need to press the brake one.Stew,
2010 D4 gone but I really loved it

Dead right if you are racing, but on the road?

you can expect more mileage with D4 or V8 brakes, another benefit of a low cost upgrade. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
