I don't think the OP wants a precise location. Just a map of the UK, with sponsors marked, perhaps at a county level.
Just so if you are away from home and need help, you could look at it and then click on a pin to pm the sponsor.
I think it is a good ideaNew gearbox & TC, 3 x front wheel bearings, belts changed, new oil pump, new battery, new rear prop, new front prop, new front diff, front arb refurbed, front cv boot kit, egr blank and BAS software patch, full rear suspension / drivelive rebuild, new front arms, LED trailer light fix, split charge.
Never had a 107, 90 or 127, but have had most of the rest!

I can't imagine people want their home addresses displayed on the internet...
Hence why the advice given when choosing your location in the map is a nearby landmark
Sorry DM - I'm not looking for 'home addresses' or precise locations just a general map location - you for instance have stated that you are in Dundee which is precise enough for me but, without that info being on a map for 'Site Sponsors' only, how would I quickly know that you are a Site Sponsor without reading every post on the forum until I come across one of yours. The Site Sponsor can choose whether he wants to be more precise with his location and contact info and whether he wishes to respond to the request or not.
As you know there is no obligation on any member to reply to any received PM's.
so I totally get the idea of a single map showing which sponsors are where. be even better if "hover over" showed what services are on offer..

Thanks Dean
I must admit I missed that link at the top of the page but you've got the idea.Jim
it's still a PITA though and you have to know who you're looking for rather than where you're looking, so "reverse lookup" is good idea.
if - for whatever reason - it's not do-able, then could sponsor list be expanded to have a bit more info ?

That sounds good and also of course allow a site sponsor/supporter the option of being included or indeed to withhold or limit any information about him/her that he/she desires.
It does not have to be complicated, a map may not even be necessary, just a bit more info on a list would probably suffice as you have illustrated Dean Jim

Separate dedicated map with Sponsors service + Mob + email+ land line (if possible) seems very sensible D3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)

Just think of all the posts asking for someone to repair their car in their area instead of a name or two to choose from via the replies, they could be pointed towards the map and work it out for themselves.
Got to be something the sponsors would want surely? as that way people wanting repairs dont even have to post, just look at the map and click on contact the guy in their area.
Plus of course even if you are forum member but are travelling out of your local area.
Example I often travel to Norfolk, is there a sponsor who covers that area full time ie lives there?

Of course, there are one or two of us who also do work that are not forum sponsors.

I understand you Robbie and it would of course be wrong, in my opinion, for people like yourself, who provide us with untold knowledge, tips and advice both hands on and within the forum, not to be included in such a list if you wish.
I'm sure that it is for reasons like this that such a list does not exist, however it would be great if everyone could be accommodated.Jim

Martin: Do not include non paying sponsors until up to date. Probably an incentive to get up to date then.
