Are after market wheels up to the job?
Just been looking for 20" stormers and find genuine ones hard to come by ,is anyone running on copies and if so are they more prone to buckling etc than the LR ones
However, all OEM wheels are made by wheel manufacturers so if you can get aftermarket items from a decent manufacturer then you could be OK. Companies like Ronal, Oz etc are fine but a company like Yingshungtwang Ally Corp of NorthWestEastern Korea will inevitably give rise to 'issues'. Also, be careful with insurance and aftermarket alloys...... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

There are quite a few running copies of Stormers, one advantage I think there is to the copies, is that the offset is greater than the OEM wheels, which allows a slighter wider / higher profile tyre to be mounted. This would give a smoother ride quality & also offer more protection to the rims.
In these days of stringent insurance company regulations, where a non standard tyre size or load rating could be grounds for voiding your insurance, I would have to wonder what the implications of having third party wheels fitted would be.
While I did consider copies, in the end I just walked into my dealer & ordered up the genuine rims.

I got aftermarket Stormers and have been running them for over a year now with no problems!
But, I always give close inspection when I wash them for reasons as above....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

If you drive everywhere fast, the centrifugal (or was it centripetal ?) will help prevent the wheels from collapsing There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

Ah yes, my mistake, not BIN. However, at least with gen LR ones there should be no danger of ins company not paying upbeing because they're not genuine.

watch those tyres though, as generally, 275/40's are rated at 103 or 106.
