Mass air flow and air pressure issues & engine system fault

Hello,

My LR3 TDV6 2009 shows several error codes related to Mass air flow (MAF) and Manifold air pressure (MAP). Before going into much detail I would like to give information from my OBD reader (iCarsoft CR Max).

Mass air flow sensor A varies from 18 (idle) to 110 (3000 rpm) g/s
Manifold air pressure does not change at all, keeps on 280 kPa

Question? Does this mean that my MAP needs replacement? Which values should it show?

I have the impression that this is the reason for my 'engine system fault' resulting in limp mode.

Thnx in advance

Check the tops of the inlet manifolds as there is probably a crack in one

MAP should read 101kPa at idle

If its reading 280kPa, it's likely the sensor is faulty

I think you will find it a faulty MAP sensor. 280kPa is above the theoretical limits for boost in any case (Max is about 240), so it seems the sensor is maxed out. If it was a turbo or manifold, it would be reading low, not full boost all the time.

PROBLEM SOLVED

New MAP sensor arrived. OBD check on live data, contact on, engine of:
old sensor : barometric sensor 98, MAP sensor 280
new sensor: barometric sensor 98, MAP sensor 97,5
started engine, different rpms vary the MAP sensor to 110 and 120.

Message 'engine system fault' is gone. Rolling with laughter

Thanks again everyone for your help.

Have a nice day.

PS. I have other problems with PDF and so Evil or Very Mad , but I will gather info first followed by a new post.
