I guess Maxxis have decided that the low original price has given them enough market penetration
so they no longer need to sell them cheap.
They are a very decent tire and consider them at least equal to many premium tires suitable for a D3/4
so a comparable price is justified.

Had these on the D3 for 3 months now, Feel good on road and more than capable towing the caravan on wet grass. Price still good, I see they are currently available for £96 each.

Just had one fitted today (new car came with 3 good 771s and 1 knackered Grabber for some reason) for £110 all in which I thought pretty good. 255 60 18s.
Be interesting to see how they cope driving home in the snow compared to the L322 on Pirellis.

Well went home through snow last night and over icy patches and testing brakes quite hard on quiet road home had no slip whatsoever. I was quite impressed. They seem quiet too. Not sure what the material would be like in the real cold but the moderate siping of the tread blocks should help in the snow. They were certainly grippier than the Pirelli Scorpion Zeros on the L322
