Thinking about this overnight it's as close as you are going to get to them admitting they have made a mistake with an icon. However, they will never reverse out of this until the model life cycle is complete and, of course, we have all deserted to other brands'. I now know that after 15 years of a 110, D3 and now D4 that my next car will not be a LR.2014MY Discovery

Got to admit put the rear of the explorer on the Discovery and even I would consider it so much easier on the eye

McGovern needs to send a memo out to the management car centre at Gaydon as all the JLR registered D5s go out with the fat plates 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

I'd heard that the delay isn't down to the Velar going through the line, rather it's due to the lack of parts for the dog-cage each D5 needs for the safe transportation of the owner's guide dog.
