Absolutely no compatibility issues between them. The AS and AG polishes are very similar. The main difference between the two:
Autoglym: Well known and trusted consumer brand
Autosmart: Well known and trusted trade brand.
I've used both and now prefer to use autosmart. None of the marketing bumph, just good products that work.
Using EGP will not cause any issues. Remember the 'polish' part only cleans the surface. Both AG and AS have trace petroleum products to assist in this process, so a clean surface once buffed clean. Both also have slight filling properties, which can mask swirls and light surface scratches. Adding the EGP, sealant or paste wax on top will help to maintain those filled marks, until the EGP wears off. If you layer this (2 or 3 coats) there will be a big improvement in durability.
You can also top with a thin coat of paste wax to finish it off.
The only key thing to remember is to remove all tar, sap and bonded contaminants before any finishing sealant or wax is applied.
Once it is applied, to maintain it, ensure you use a pH neutral shampoo or foam. This way any applications 'should' last around 3 months. If you apply a final coat, then the following week you decide to drive thru a foam and jetwash place, say goodbye to the sealant as most commercial car wash units, either jetwash or swirl-matics use a caustic tfr.
I've a spare bottle of Jetseal 109 that I have in the van if anyone is interested?
...John

Thanks for the tips John. Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.

If no one closer is interested John then I'd like to give it a go.My D3 spends most of its time covered in but once in a while I do give it a shine for official do's.I looked into Jetseal over here but no one stocks it.If its still available then let me know how much it'll be for the bottle and postage to Wexford Ireland and your paypal address.I can add on a percentage for paypal fee aswell .If it's gone then no bother bud

not sure if I can ship any cheaper than that from here.
I sent the old dears in Blighty a jumbo bottle of vitamins the other week, same sort of size weight - and it cost me $20 just normal Mail
I do however have a cunning plan to save you a few quid...
If you buy on the Autopia website, you can use the Coupon Code AUTOPIA at any time to save 10% on the products
Put it in at the checkout section - makes things a little cheaper 08 LR3 SE V8 - 02 D2 SE7 V8
