It was a family trip away, so time on trails was limited, but here are some pics:

We averaged just over 11mpg for the trip, pretty much what I was expecting

Had a great time, very impressed with the LR3
Moab is certainly worth a visit, great trails, hiking & views, not to mention the Moab Brewery
It was great to be warm and dig out the shorts - it snowed where we live (again) this weekend...
Thinking of some Johnson Rods for my next trip down there

Great pics 11 mp(US)g is about 14mp(UK)g... not so bad I guess for a 4.4 litre V8 towing a big trailer

you'll be cleaning sand out of that engine bay for a while
Great shots, looks like an excellent place to visit A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.
It was great - The whole interior has a red dusty sheen now, I had to clean the drivers area before heading to work today to avoid stains on my trousers
Put her through the car wash when I got home - had to go through twice to get her (mostly) clean, and will wash the underside again at the weekend. Not opened the bonnet yet, there'll be some work there...
I reckon 11 mpg was OK - had completely forgot about the difference in gallons. It felt painful filling her up, given gas prices here now, but not half as much as filling my rental car in the UK in the summer will be
I thoroughly recommend Moab to anyone that can get there - it's awesome. If you've been you know what I mean.
Cannot wait to go again!
Cheers

Excellent pictures, looks great
At UK prices 14mpg would make me but hey it's about the fun not the money. As they say you can't take it with you - and if you did some archeologist is going to rob your grave in the name of a different kind of discovery at some point in the far flung future
Top notch pics though, thanks for sharing.
