ModelYear 14 TPMS

Hi,

How do you change from light to heavy load? The handbook is a bit vague and the service menu only gives the oil level option.

Also, has anybody fathomed out how to upgrade to the year 15 system with the IID tool. I see the question has been asked before but can't find an answer. The IID gives options to upgrade several ECUs but I can't remember if the instrument or body control were offered.
(not sure which one controls the TPMS.

Geoff.

Re the tyre pressures - With the ignition on (engine off) i think it is in the service menu under tyre pressures

Edit - Just spotted you have a D3 in your profile, instructions above for D4 Embarassed

Hi,

Thank you for your replies. To be clear it is a year14 D4 I'm talking about but I still have the 3 as well.

I realise it is just a monitoring system, but the book says you can set it for light or heavy load but doesn't tell you how as far as I can see.

Also the year 15 car will show you individual tyre pressures and I wondered if it was possible to upgrade the firmware to do this.

Geoff.

Not sure about updating the display, don't think it can be done as cluster is different from memory but might be wrong.

As for the original post.
From memory and I cant check as car has now gone, engine off ignition on, go into section on display where tyre pressure is and you should be able to make adjustments there for heavy or light load.

Thank's Russell, found it, it's under "Vehicle setup", I was looking under "service"

I don't think the cluster changed between 14 and 15, the one on a youtube video I found looks like mine but has the extra features for the TPMS, but it is surprising that none of the gurus on here have cracked it, so I could be wrong.

Bit too late for you but for anybody else looking to change them, this is how you do it on a MY2015/6

I haven't heard of anybody managing to change the MY2014 system to MY2015/6 but that doesn't mean it can't be done.

I’ve an issue with mine, if I set it to Heavy Load, the next time you restart, it has reverted back to Light Load again Confused
