MPG is my primary driver and over the 3 years I plan on keeping this car I am likely to do double the mileage you suggest.

So not only would I break even but I would make back the cost of the remap.

PLUS I would get a better driving experience

So to me it DOES make a lot of sense IF I can get the 10% saving in MPG!

Just a quick update on this. After a few weeks with re-map installed my mpg has gone up to between 29.5 and 31 mpg. This is our third D3 and never managed more than 27/28 mpg on any of them. Thumbs Up

I have mentioned this elsewhere, but since having a Bell Autos remap my fuel consumption has improved by exactly 3 mpg over the subsequent 1238 miles. This is actual mpg, not what the fuel computer says. I think the mpg may drop a bit but there is no doubt the remap has improved it yet offers the benefit of more grunt when you need it or just want to play.

Thought I'd post a before & after BAS Remap Interface fuel consumption update. Over 3221 miles prior to remap, I averaged 22.7 mpg. Over the next 3597 miles with the BAS remap, the average was 24.8 mpg. Same Shell City Diesel and the same driving routine/routes with lots of traffic jams. These are actual mpg figures based on miles driven and actual fuel used (not fuel computer figures). Since I do 22k miles a year the BAS system saves me £374 per year which is fine by me as it's a lot more fun to drive too. Will pay for itself in 16 months. Thumbs Up

first test on 40 liters finished... 60% London driving (mostly jams) - 30% M4 (mostly under repair lost of jams) distance covered 240 miles that comes to 10.4 l per 100 km pretty good more than liter less than factory data

next test would be done on the long run motorway only or more than 80%

Hi all,

Long trip through France with a BAS re-map, cruise control plugged in at 80mph, about an extra 500kgs of kit and family of 4, with 'decent' diesel, managed around 29 mpg - not bad at all. That said the good thing about a BAS re-map is the extra torque it produces giving better acceleration (about 3 seconds off the 0-60 time) and better overtaking = safer driving and better fuel economy. Its a no brainer........ Mr. Green

All in all, I love it and won't ever go back to normal map.

Cheers Pete! Thumbs Up
