From November next year, tyres marked M+S *without* the Alpine Snowflake or 3PMSF marking will no longer be allowable as a winter tyre, where winter tyres are mandatory.
"it is compulsory to equip your vehicle with winter tires or to have snow chains or socks, in certain towns in the mountain ranges (Alps, Corsica, Massif central, Jura mountains, Pyrenees, Vosges). 34 departments are subject to the obligation."
This applies from 01 Nov - 31 Mar each year.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

😳
it surprises me! Here in Spain, that's been the case for many years!!!
…. M+S have never been winter tires, therefore the police do not allow you to drive on them when the mountain passes are covered in snowlost in translation!

Seems fair enough to me. An M+S tyre is not a winter tyre unless carrying the 3MPSF symbol.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
