MTR's safe on normal roads?
Your darn tooting they are
Travelling up from the NEC last night up the M6, dark, wet, windy and moving on a bit at motorway speeds I hit quite a few patches of standing water that were not easily spotted.
Quite a few cars squirming and almost aqua-planing as they hit them, but the D3 on MTR's just drove through, no fuss, no water forced up onto the screen, no movement, still planted. Not sure that would be the case on scorpions or wranglers.
MTR's - you know it makes sense

That's one of the things I love about them! Not just for off road, but they really do cut through water and makes for a MUCH safe drive.
Queue the line of people who say they never have a problem on STD tyres as they always slow down and drive to the road/weather conditions............

Thing is you may not get the chance to slow down, or you could pootle along with Ms Daisy in the back, and drive for the conditions, but 70mph on a quiet stretch of motorway in a D3 on any tyre will give confidence. Standing water is sometimes not that easy to spot.
