How much 4 mudflaps fitted main dealer?

I've just asked the dealer to fit me 4 mudflaps so my new steed keeps clean(ish) on its long drive home on saturday.

I was shocked at the price.

Guesses on a postcard please......

£225! I was gobsmacked.

Must have been away from main dealer prices for too long.

Thank god for TFC, TLO and Ebay!

£40 or so from The Bay, and as suggested, 3 screws out, 3 screws in and jobs a goodun. Do you really need OEM mudflaps? Fair enough, mine say 'Land Rowe' on them, but given they're covered in mud, who's to know.

I know i'm an idiot but I do like OEM stuff. Can't remember the last time I paid a dealer for it though (Other than service parts from TLO)

All the fancy stuff I just buy as and when I find someone else selling it.

On that subject, the rear bumper treadplate thing, how much do they come in at?

I was charged £185 by my dealer for front & rear mudflaps on my D4 that I picked up earlier this week.
They also charged £254 for the rear bumper stainless tread plate - it just sticks on.

I had mudflaps supplied and fitted for £156 - didn't think the price was too bad especially as they now have a 3 year guarantee Very Happy

Bought mine off eBay for £50
Only difference is they say Landroved!
Took 30 mins to fit but must admit it took a while to work out how the rear brackets fitted because the instructions were naff!

No pics sorry
Just lie on your back and look behind the rear wheel.
The bracket fits behind the panel that the mudflap screws on to.
It is used as a supporting piece to brace the panel that the flap screws to.
There you are. - clear as muddy water!

Ok, if you hold the rear mudflap in position, you will find that one of the holes where the locating screws go has no rigidity behind it. If you get on your back and look upwards behind the wheel arch lining panel, it will be obvious where the bracket has to sit. It sits behind the wheel arch lining panel in order to hold the wheel arch lining panel firm so that the mudflap can be fitted.
If you are really still stuck, I will take some pics at the weekend.
