How much For new Brake Pads (all corners) + Wheel Tracking |
|
How much for new brake pads (all corners) and wheel tracking at a main dealer?
Anyone have experience of prices for the pads and work; and wheel tracking?
It has to go to a main dealer anyway for a warranty check and would rather get it all done in one go. Asked for prices; but none provided so far!

I would anticipate that both parts & labour would be substantially less expensive at an independent operation.

New pads all round at a main dealer?- be prepared for discs as well
We don’t track wheels on a Discovery sir, we only do four wheel alignment hmmm.....well we don’t actually do it, we send it to someone with a Hunter alighnment rig and then charge you double It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Had an RRS in with “dangerous” front and rear discs + pads, advised by the dealer 5k miles previous, quoted a few quid off £1300...
Front discs + pads were required, as well as rear pads (discs were fine) for a third of the cost... My D3 Build Thread

I've just paid £125 for a full set of genuine pads (16my D4) pretty easy DIY job. I bet pads all round at main dealer would be £500

I paid £156 for four wheel alignment at a main dealer 2 years ago.
This was on top of service and MoT at £590 - so a bit of a light wallet after that.
I've had the car 7 years from new but not needed any brake bits replacing yet, but it's in for a cambelt service today so I'm waiting for the phone call MY12 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand

I've just replaced the front Disc's and pads, rear pads on mine. All from Advance factors.
Very easy job, just a bit of time.
If it were me and you have to get it done for your warranty I'd do that yourself or at a good indie then to the Stealer for the rest. 2008 G4 D3 vehicle No 11. UK selections.
