How much to replace front disc and pads |
|
Just had a right problem we got our car from a local Car Supermarket upon leaving the car had to go back as the rear disc was nearly non existant and the the wheel was covered in iron filings so they replaced the rear disc and pads.
Just taken our car to a landrover dealership due to a squeek and they have said that the rear disc is going to need replacing the EPB has warn the disc oval. The supermarket wont pay anything towards it as its Wear and Tear shocking.
Anyway the front discs are on the limit and need doing soon, again the supermarket said the discs were MOT safe upon leaving them 2000 miles later they are at mot failure stage.
Which brings me to the Title The land rover dealership are doing the rear but how much will should it cost to replace the front Discs They are charging around £280 anyone help

easy job to do yourself if you OK with a spanner - definately doesnt need to be a dealer job.

not really, if the warning light hasnt come on, and you go carefully, you can disconnect it at the disc end and refit, you only need to replace if the disc end is damaged (or you are too hamfisted getting it out), and then its a bit more work as the other end connecte up behind the wheelarch shield.
the sensor is only on one side, not both
