Prison, as far as I know, does not provide alcohol or drug rehabilitation.

It does, however, keep her from driving.

I tend to agree with Scott. With her history of drink/drug abuse and driving whilst disqualified, it’s taking a chance sending her to The Priory.

What happens if she reoffends in the interim and takes someone out?

Ordinary people, in the meantime, CAN be made to address their alcohol intake ...

I think shes “going down”…but I doubt its her first time according to her numerous previous boyfriends.

Joking apart, clearly she has issues but I cant think a little bit that its kept her in the news and therefore making money?? Albeit somewhat dangerously in this case..

As for bankrupt..well theres bankrupt and truely bankrupt. It seems her disaster story always has some financial value..channel 4/5/Hello magazine

Its almost like they are funding the downfall to create more news

The short sharp shock of 3 or 6 months prison maybe effective and a prelude of what’s to come if she doesn’t behave. If she also got a lifetime ban, then if there was a next time, step it up.

TBH, it’s only what would have happened to you or I in a similar position. I certainly know locally that driving whilst disqualified, never mind the drink or drugs, normally carried a life ban and a prison sentence despite the normal weepng and wailing about the circumstances that put them in that position.

The ‘appeal’ process has already begun with family/supporters/representatives saying she has been suffering “mental illness for a long time” and that, basically, this ‘aberration’ is proof that she is ill, not in control of her actions, needs help not punishment, etc.

Anybody else would have been banged up after much less I’m sure (accepting there are plenty of cases of people driving with 60 points or whatever, etc.)

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I'm sure many people will be glad to see the poor excuse of a man that murdered Sarah Everard has been given a whole life term. So he will die in jail.

I know it's going to cost us a few quid each year to keep him in there, but I'm glad he won't be coming back out.

I don’t believe that she’ll be treated more favourably by the judicial system than anyone else. She’s a Z list celeb, why would that influence a judge or magistrate?
