I must have not been paying attention, I thought I’d heard on the radio that she was due to be sentenced in December. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Her sentence has been deferred to December on the agreement that she undergoes treatment at The Priory and doesn't do anything naughty between now and December. I guess if she plays her cards right, she'll just get a further driving ban. Which, on past form, she'll ignore. Rinse and repeat. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Ah, I didn’t hear the bit the Priory.
I still don’t think that she’ll have been treated any more favourably though. If anything I’d have thought her well published lifestyle would have the opposite affect.
Perhaps I just have a bit more faith in the impartiality of the court system. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

if there was no media hype surrounding her situation then yes, i believe it would be a totally impartial fair decision by the Judge as if it were any member of the general public.
however the pressure that the modern media puts on everything makes it difficult IMHO to be impartial in this and other cases
media repeatedly says there's a financial crash - guess what happens
media repeatedly says there's an HGV driver shortage - guess what happens
media repeatedly says there's a food shortage due to the above - guess what happens
media repeatedly says there's a fuel shortage due to the above - guess what happens
media repeatedly says Katie Price has mental health issues and needs treatment not prison - guess what happens
im not saying that any of the above wouldnt have happened anyway, but the media have certainly sped up and/or influenced the outcomes. 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

But she has. Admitted taking cocaine and driving and tested positive for cocaine but no drug driving charges laid
Poor lamb, bless her…..

^ Hey, I’m in no way condoning her actions, or defending her. See my first post on this thread.
I don’t think that she’s been treated any differently as Z list “celebrity”. The judicial system has slowly began to wise up addiction and realise that treatment is likely to be more beneficial to society than incarceration. Although of course she’s yet to be sentenced.
There really isn’t a two tier judicial system for “celebrities”. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I wasn't having a pop LT
I just disagree that's all. If nothing else 'money talks' - just booking into priory, having a rep' to 'manage' the situation, better access to legal representation, etc.

That’s true of course. But the courts have been ordering compulsory treatment for addicts for sometime now. I assume if they deem the offender is able to fund that privately they are ordered to do so.
Which makes a lot of sense, as simply locking up addicts is not a cure, it inevitably just delays the problems/offences reoccurring and ultimately costs the taxpayer much more.
I really don’t believe that she’s received any favourably terms. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Okay, never mind the alcohol & cocaine usage/addiction and how they deal with it, each person being different in that respect, some learn via counselling, some don’t, I’d suggest with her historic abuse of it, she doesn’t, then answer me this.
If you’d been caught committing driving offences and disqualified 6 times in the last 10 years, caught twice disqualified driving/drunk/drugs driving plus another incident of disqualified driving being investigated from July, then what would you expect if you appeared in court? “Good luck in The Priory” remark from the Judge, despite saying your going bankrupt or jailed because you are a repeat offender that can not stop herself and could well end up killing an innocent person?
If it was Joe or Josephine Public in the dock, you’d be all over the Judge like a rash, slagging her off and condemning her for being so lenient.
If you were the parent, brother/sister of someone Price killed on one of her drunk/drugs/disqualified sprees you’d want to know why on earth the Judge did jail her to protect the public.

Whilst most UK drivers who do a reasonable annual mileage will pick up the odd traffic offence such as speeding over a long period of time then there are the prolific offenders.
This particular z rated person is a prolific offender going back over a couple of decades.
2019 was going into rehab at the Priory. Obviously no long term benefit from that rehab.
What is more important the safety of the general travelling public or the so called rights of this prolific offending z rated person?
I know what I consider to be more important.
