MY06 'S' MT & AT options

I have a MY06 (55 plate) TDV6 'S', this has 18" rims with Goodyear Wrangler HP 255/60-R18.

It's my everyday car, but I go green laning every weekend. And pay to play, normally tixover.

This year I'm going to Germany, Norway, the alps for winter and then next year I'm off to Morocco.

I've been reading this forum and there has been talk of tyres rubbing, and differances between MY06 & MY07+ so I think I'll just play it safe and stick to OEM sizes...

So I think I have 2 choices.

1) 255/60R18 General Tire Grabber AT2 112 H on my 18" rims

2) Buy some D3 HSE rims and put on 255/55R19 Goodyear MTR 111 S. Run these 90% of the time, but then when I do go Germany or a huge distance on road put the 18's back on with the Goodyear Wrangler HP.

Decisions Decisions...

Another option is 19" Range Rover rims, MY06 onwards/7 spoke type. Look great, cheap as chips, right size, weight rating etc. Then fit MTRs. Will post pic when get my laptop back but few pics in my gallery

Not wanting to upset the hardcore MTR Appreciation Society Rolling Eyes , but I thought the GY MTR was not a winter tyre, it is not M&S rated due to the low silica content ( Question ). If travelling in some European countries in the winter, I think it is a legal requirement to have winter rated tyres on. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.
The AT2 is a good all round tyre, available in 18inch. I run on these.
I have no experience of them, but the Pirelli ATR get very good reports on here, Ken thinks they're the muts nuts. They come in the correct 18 and 19 sizes Thumbs Up

snowy you're right Thumbs Up it is now legal requirement in some countries to have winter rated tyres. I know austria is one of those countries, I think norway is opn the list too, although norway i think it's be impossible to survive without winter tyres..
