MY12 D4 TDV6 front brake pad shims
Changing the front brake pads and disc rotors on the wires MY12 D4 TDV6. The old brake pads (unknown brand) have these shims on the back of each pad:
The new EBC Ultimax2 DA3304 LR019618 (apparently OEM?) don't. Should I be transferring them over from the old pads to the new?
There is no mention of the shims in the MY11 Workshop manual PDF I have.Mine - modified MY03 LT L318 Discovery 2a HSE Td5 15P
Hers - MY12 L319 Discovery 4 Lion 2.7L TDV6
Dads - MY98 LJ Discovery ES 3.9L V8

No, just apply a thin smear of copper or ceramic grease to the mating surfaces. (back of pads)
And a smidgen where the pad legs meet the anti rattle springs.
Some pad manufacturers fit anti squeal shims but they're not transferable. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
