MY14 Discovery 4 HSE
Hi,
I'm new to forum, but just thought I would start off by saying hi and sharing a few pictures of my new car. I picked up my first Disco on the 1st of the month and already have just under 1000 miles on the clock. What can I say? I love it.
I came from a 2007 RRS 3.6 V8 HSE, and it's clear to see things have moved on in that time. The gear box is smoother, the interior is bang up to date, well compared to the RRS anyway. Only thing I miss is the sound of the V8, but at least I can play Spotify in the car now without a tangle of wires, so I can't hear the engine anyway 8)
The car spec is as follows
SDV6 Discovery 4 14MY HSE in Santorini Black with Ebony (Black) Leather
Black Design Pack
Heated Steering Wheel
Adaptive Xenon Lights
Grand Black Lacquer Inlays
I’ve already been reading through the mods, and am thinking of adding the cubby fridge which was handy on the old car, especially with young kids (soon to be 3 under 3!). In fact I have just undertaken my first minor mod – having been unable to source the OEM cross bars in black as they no longer make them, I have purchased the satin anodised finished aluminium ones from my local dealer. These have been striped and are now in the paint shop. I’ll be sure to share a picture of them one completed.
Right, I think that’s enough ramblings for now. Here a are those pictures I promised you....sorry but she’s not exactly clean. Hoping to find time at the weekend to give her the first proper wash down.
Cheers.
Barry

Welcome Barry. Interestingly I come from Forest Hill SE London, I used to work in Petts Wood literally as a tree feller for the National Trust some 40 years back, used to wander around in an old series 2A spent many a night in the woods couldn't be bothered to go home I live in North Devon now well for the past 35 years anyway. Always fancied going back to see how all of the changes I made have matured maybe will one day. Enjoy your D4

Yes, I'm actually an ex South East London boy, Catford, Lewisham, Forest Hill. But the name actually comes from a pair of my old favourite trainers when I was still a kid. It has just sort of stuck around for names on forums like this.
I Live in Petts Wood now and a lovely place it is too. Willet Wood is still there, along with his sundial. Its certain different to where I used to live. 5 mins and you can be in the middle of what feels like nowhere.
